Envato MCP Server: A new way to search Envato via your LLM of choice

The current MCP implementation is an early proof-of-concept designed to explore what agent-powered creative workflows could look like.

1. Deep Envato search: AI assistants can access the full Envato catalog through structured queries. This allows users to discover assets without leaving their AI workspace. If you’re exploring new creative directions, you might already use resources like photo editing tips and workflows to refine images or build design projects. With MCP, discovering supporting assets for those workflows becomes faster and more contextual.
2. Filter-aware tools: Instead of vague keyword searches, MCP enables detailed filtering, such as: Asset category, file format, compatible software, genre or style. This dramatically improves the accuracy of results returned by AI assistants.
3. Rich metadata responses: The system returns clean, structured data, including: Item title, categories, metadata, direct item links. This makes it easier for AI assistants to present assets clearly.
4. One-Click Discovery: Every result includes a direct link to the asset’s Envato page so you can review, download, and license the item immediately.

How to configure the Envato MCP

LLM client settings change all the time, so rather than give you screenshots or menu names that’ll be out of date in a month, we recommend asking your LLM client itself — ideally whichever one you’re setting the Envato MCP up in. Try a prompt like this:

“What is the current process for adding a custom MCP into this LLM session? Can you name the menu items, and ideally produce a screenshot of the current settings UI?”

That should get you clear, up-to-date steps for adding the Envato MCP as a “Custom MCP” in your client. It’s a one-off setup — do it once and you’re sorted.

On Pro/Max (individual account):

1. Navigate to Customize > Connectors Claude
2. Click the “+” button next to Connectors Claude
3. Enter the connector’s name and URL Claude
4. Optionally click “Advanced settings” to specify an OAuth Client ID and OAuth Client Secret Claude
5. Click “Add,” then follow the same connection process as directory connectors Claude

Whichever LLM client you’re using, setting up a Custom MCP really only takes two things:

• A name that you can freely choose
• The MCP URL where the MCP endpoint can be connected to

As a Custom MCP name you might pick: “Envato Creative Companion”
